Who we are
sausagedog ("we", "us") is a UK-based CV tailoring tool. This policy explains what we do with the information you give us when you use the service.
What data we collect
- Your CV content (uploaded file or pasted text) and any job descriptions you provide.
- Your email address and name, if you sign in via Google, LinkedIn, or Facebook.
- A payment session ID and premium status, if you subscribe.
- Basic technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited.
How we use it
- To generate your tailored CV, cover letter, and related outputs.
- To authenticate you and remember your premium status.
- To monitor usage and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your CV to train AI models.
Third parties
- Anthropic processes your CV and job description text to generate the tailored output. Anthropic retains data per their enterprise policy; see anthropic.com/privacy.
- Stripe processes subscription payments. We never see your card details.
- Google, LinkedIn, Facebook if you sign in through them, we receive your name and email only.
- Vercel hosts the site and stores server logs.
Storage
Your saved jobs, uploaded CV, and preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage. Clearing your browser data removes them. If you sign in on a different device, they will not follow you. Authentication tokens and premium status are stored as signed HTTP-only cookies.
Your rights (UK GDPR)
- Right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- Right to object to processing or withdraw consent.
- Right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
